Hello Dear Friends,

 It is a cold and blustery day today in our area! Brrrrrr! 🙂

So these yummy hearty recipes are just the ticket on our early cooler mornings.

They are not only easy peasy, healthy but affordable too!!

When we use our slow cookers…we are even more “organized” and ready to go in the morning!!

I love waking up to smell of a yummy breakfast already cooked!! 🙂

Slow Cooker Pumpkin Steel Cut Oats

INGREDIENTS:

cooking spray (such as Pam®)
6 cups water
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
1 1/2 cups steel-cut oats
1 cup brown sugar replacement (such as
Splenda® Brown Sugar Blend)
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
DIRECTIONS:
1. Prepare the crock of your slow cooker with cooking spray.
2. Stir water, pumpkin puree, oats, brown sugar replacement, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice together in the prepared slow cooker.
3. Cook on Low for 6 hours. Stir before serving.

Bread Pudding in the Slow Cooker

INGREDIENTS:

8 cups cubed bread
1 cup raisins (optional)
2 cups milk
4 eggs
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
DIRECTIONS:
1. Place bread and raisins in a slow cooker.
2. Whisk milk, eggs, butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and nutmeg together in a bowl; pour over bread and raisins. Toss to evenly coat.
3. Cook on Low until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean, about 3 hours.

INGREDIENTS:

cooking spray
8 cups water
23 ounces unsweetened applesauce
1 1/2 cups steel cut oats
2 Granny Smith apples – peeled, cored,
and diced
1/4 cup ground cinnamon, or to taste
1/3 cup granular no-calorie sucralose
sweetener (such as Splenda®)
(optional)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Lightly spray a 5-quart or larger slow cooker crock with cooking spray.
2. Combine water, applesauce, oats, diced apple, cinnamon, and sweetener in prepared slow cooker.
3. Cook on Low for 6 hours.
